![]() Just re-ran the speed test - 65 ms, 6.59 Mbit/S, 6.16 MBit/S. It continues to be outstanding on other sites. ST went (suddenly) from outstanding to unusable on Gmail. Since then, login is virtually impossible. I've never had any issues with Gmail in the six months that I've used ST, until yesterday. I have no problems with TLS/SSL on any other site (yesterday or today). I have consistent problems (since yesterday) with Gmai login. "Overall A, BufferBloat C, Quality A+, Speed -."įWIW, I think that keeping the browser open makes for a more realistic test. I immediately did a using the WISP option with my normal browser open. Just re-tested Gmail using my normal machine. today the trend is for people to use hotspot on their phone instead of a separate hotspot device so you might want to see if that will work for you and it might be cheaper. i know you said you think speed is ok but it might be slow intermittently.Īlso you mention that you might not renew the hotspot if you continue to have problems. When you have the problem with gmail close all browsers and do a speed test. You seem to think the problem is with the zte hotspot isp but all websites work normal except for gmail so only thing i can think of is if gmail is slow because it needs more bandwidth. You tried so many combinations i am having a hard time following. If it works, as I expect it will, I'll mark the thread SOLVED. Odd for this to happen, since I've never had issues with ST (other than billing at the beginning). ![]() Connection quality has never been an issue. Gmail login via ST is essentially instantaneous, as it has always been. ![]() Computer was cold booted several times at home, as well as getting to library and when moving to current location. Same computer, same hotspot, no config changes since doing factory reset of ST hotspot suggested above. Whatever the issue was, it appears to have gotten resolved. Tried hotspot again and got in immediately. Shut down and moved to a place where I could use library WiFi while talking on phone, intending to call ST. Spent a couple of hours working with WiFi. Tried using library WiFi and got in to Gmail with no problems. Same thing: could enter account name, got PW screen, entered PW, clicked login and got hang. Went to public library and tried to login to Gmail with ST hotspot.
